SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., May 3, 2005 – The Small Business Technology Institute (SBTI) is reinforcing its commitment to fostering technology adoption and use among small businesses by awarding $1,500 digital scholarships to outstanding Bay Area women business owners. The scholarships recognize the top-ranked participants in SheBusiness, a program of the Small Business Technology Institute sponsored by Intel®. The winners will be recognized today at the Professional BusinessWomen of California Conference at Moscone Center in San Francisco (

The SheBusiness program facilitates and supports women-owned eBusinesses by combining free classes, workshops, consulting, development and support services. Selected from more than 200 applicants, the 2005 winners demonstrated a comprehensive business plan with significant potential to accelerate their growth and success using technology.
